SATURDAY SCHOOL
Students: There will be NO SATURDAY SCHOOL THIS SATURDAY, February 18th. Saturday School will resume February 25th.
CAREER CENTER:
Juniors planning on attending college will need to register for SAT test. You will have three chances to take test: March, May and June. See Miss Rose in Career Center to pick up a practice book and see if you qualify for a fee Waiver. That means you don’t have to pay the $49.00 for the test. -Scholarship applications available in the career center; don’t miss out on an opportunity to qualify for free money.
Transcripts:
Seniors, the time has come! For you seniors needing transcripts for scholarships, colleges, jobs or any other type of business, please go to www.docufide.com to obtain an official transcript. Please allow 3-5 days for delivery. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Calzada in the registrar’s office.
KEY CLUB:
Keys for Kids, members of Key Club get your money and keys in now to Ms. Young in room 104! Thanks for your efforts! Keys will be posted in the cafeteria next week.
-Key Club meeting this Friday after school in room 104, vote on next year’s officers and more!
TUTORING:
Let’s start the new semester strong! Tutoring will continue in room 171, below the library. We will meet on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday before school, and Tuesday and Thursday after school. Come and bring homework to work on. See you there!
CSF:
The next CSF Meeting is Tuesday, February 21st at 3:15 PM in room 129. Future CSF meetings will be the third Tuesday of each month.
-CSF is having a “Give Back Night” at Chili’s Restaurant on 10th Street West and Avenue K in Lancaster on Tuesday, February 21st, from 11 AM to 10 PM. Please come out and support CSF. Chili’s will give back 15% to Eastside CSF. Flyers will be placed is staff boxes and distributed by CSF members this week. Thanks for you support!
Work Experience:
The city of Palmdale is accepting reservations for its upcoming session of Palmdale Works! Job Academy. This workshop is specifically designed for high school students interested in developing skills needed to obtain employment. To find out more about this excellent opportunity or other employment opportunities see your work experience coordinator, Mrs. Coleman in room 245 before school, after school, snack or lunch.

Seniors- If you are interested in going to AVC orientation day on Thursday, February 2, you must bring in your student trip permit and 900 #. See Rose in career center. There are still some spots left. Check at the career center to see if you are on the bus list. Please meet at the softball field by 7:15 a.m. as Buses will leave promptly at 7:30 am.

Drama:
Auditions for Suessical the Musical will be held on February 21st and 23rd in the theater.
Prom:
Juniors and Seniors, Prom Agreements are now available in the Activities Office. All students who plan to attend Prom must turn in a signed prom agreement by next Friday, February 24th if you plan to buy tickets on Super Saturday. Super Saturday ticket sales will be on March 3rd, and tickets will be $110 on that day. For more information, come pick up your Prom agreement in the Activities Office.
Christian Club:
Students, don’t forget the Christian Club meets every Thursday from 3:20-4 PM in room 206. Hope to see you there!
ASB:
Come join ASB today and tomorrow, February 16th and 17th over at the big lion where we’ll be selling friendship buttons at lunch. Each button is $3, or $5 for two buttons. This is a great way to make a memory with a friend. See you there!
Talent Show:
Eastside’s Talent Show is back! Come and watch spectacular performances on February 24th in the large gym from 7-8:30 PM. Presale tickets will be sold for $3 from February 20-24 in the quad at lunch. At the door tickets will be $5 or $4 with a Lion Sports Pass. Staff and kids 12 and under are free! Snacks will be sold. Hope to see you there!
SCHOOL ID:
School ID’s are not only required to be worn at all times on campus, they are also required for admission to all school events and activities. Lost your ID? Replacement ID’s can be paid for at the student store, $3 for an ID, $2 for a lanyard. Then take your receipt from the student store to Mrs. Rayburn in the front office to pick up your ID.
