The Arts Pathway at Eastside High School has been established to support students who are creative and wish to pursue an education and, eventually, a career or lifelong concentration in the arts. Eastside High School was built with the Arts in mind. The fabulous Visual Arts Center, surrounding a garden is backed up to the Eastside Performing Arts Center (EPAC), which has a Gallery in the foyer, a 500 seat theatre and a black Box Stage. The two facilities offer students the opportunities to manage events and activities on a professional level. The proximity of Eastside High School to Los Angeles, with its impact on the arts throughout the world and its abundance of specialized arts schools, offers our students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the industry and educational institutions they are most interested in. Our local community is a growing hub for the arts, as witnessed by the revitalization of downtown Lancaster and our growing partnerships within the community and Lancaster’s Museum of Art and History (MOAH).
The Arts Pathway at Eastside High School’s Mission is to provide high school students with an educational program that is intellectually stimulating, emotionally compelling, creatively enriching, and personally relevant with a strong emphasis on community building and becoming a responsible citizen through the arts.
